Bookkeeping for companies in the UK and beyond · kept remotely from South Africa

Clean books.Kept by one person.

For owner-managed companies, most of them in the UK, that appoint a remote South African bookkeeper. Clients anywhere: the same books, the same written answers. Not a platform, not a pool. One person who knows your books.

Reply within two business days. A fixed price, or a plain no.

Who this is for

Owner-managed companies, roughly 1 to 20 people, anywhere.

What you get

The monthly work, and the mess before it.

What this refuses to be

The line, said out loud.

Tax, said plainly

Not offered yet. Not hidden either.

VAT and tax work is not offered at present. Airem Solutions is in the process of becoming a registered tax practitioner in South Africa. When that registration is granted, this page changes the same week and names the number. Until then, do not read this site as a tax service.

If a tax question is already sitting on your desk, write to [email protected]. You will get a straight answer: what we can do, what stays with your accountant, and who to ask if it is not us.

A cleanup

The shape of the work.

The work starts with the bank statements, not the software. Every line matched, every suspense entry re-coded or explained, duplicate supplier records merged, personal spend separated and listed. If the figures cannot be made to match the bank, you are told that too.

What it costs is quoted in writing once the state of the books is known. No hourly drift, no surprise invoice.

Who you are writing to

A single bookkeeper, in South Africa.

Twenty years in finance roles: bookkeeper, credit controller, senior accountant, financial controller, stock accountant. Payroll administration to NQF Level 4. QuickBooks online, Sage Evolution, Microsoft GP, Excel.

You get one point of contact who does the work, not an account manager who forwards it. Everything in writing, including the bad news.

Describe the state of your books in three lines.

Software, how many months are behind, and whether anyone else has touched them. You get a reply within two business days, in writing, with a fixed price or a plain no.
